Taiwan Quick Take: Hau injured in bicycle fall

Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Taipei mayoral candidate Hau Lung-bin (郝龍斌) fell off his bicycle yesterday morning during a cycling tour with KMT Chairman Ma Ying-jeou (馬英九) and several mayors and county commissioners in Dadaocheng. He suffered minor abrasions to his face and hands, and received six stitches for a facial wound at the Taipei Municipal Hospital's Zhongxian Branch, Hau's campaign spokesman Wu Hsiu-guang (吳秀光) said yesterday. According to Wu, Hau fell off while trying to dodge pedestrians. Although the wounds were minor, the doctors asked Hau to stay in hospital for the day.
