Environmental protection authorities around the country received a total of 61,403 complaints about public nuisances in the first half of this year, with one complaint being lodged every four minutes on average, according to tallies released yesterday by the Environmental Protection Administration. Of these cases, complaints about noise accounted for the highest number at 31 percent of complaints, followed by complaints about odor, at 22 percent. Complaints about environmental sanitation, and waste and garbage took third and fourth places, respectively.
