Lukang (鹿港) in Changhua County has been chosen as the nation's top township in terms of friendliness, taste and distinctive features in a contest whose results were published yesterday. Overall, in terms of friendliness, cleanness, taste, distinctive features and sense of happiness, people rated Lukang the highest. It was followed by Suao (蘇澳) in Yilan County, Tamshui (淡水) in Taipei County, Chiunglin (芎林) in Hsinchu County and Tachia (大甲) in Taichung County. The poll held by Commonwealth magazine ran between July 9 last year and June 30 this year with more than 34,660 people participating in the online poll.
