Officials from the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) said yesterday they had "no comment" on whether a top Chinese official in charge of Taiwan affairs would participate in a forum sponsored by the Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) in Taipei, as the agency hadn't received any application regarding the visit. The forum will be the second meeting between the KMT and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) following the KMT-CCP economic forum in April. China's Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO) yesterday announced that TAO Director Chen Yunlin (陳雲林) would lead a 60-person delegation to take part in a "cross-strait agricultural cooperation" forum to be held by the KMT in October.
