Taiwan Quick Take: Su heading to Chad

Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) will visit Chad on behalf of President Chen Shui-bian (陳水扁) and participate in the inauguration of Chadian President Idriss Deby on Aug. 8, the Government Information Office said last night. Su will head the delegation to Chad on Aug. 6 and will return to Taiwan on Aug. 10. The office said Su and his delegation will take a China Airlines aircraft but will transfer to a smaller plane at a location in Africa before arriving in Chad.
