The state-funded Taiwan Foundation for Democracy is scheduled to hold a series of seminars starting tomorrow as part of celebrations to mark its third anniversary. The seminars will focus on four major topics -- youth for democracy, nongovernmental organizations, democracy in China and international democratic movements -- with Aborigines, students, women's groups and democracy activists invited to attend the activities, the foundation said. Issues such as reinforcing democracy in Taiwan and participating in the global network to promote democracy will be discussed during the seminars, it said.
