The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday issued an orange-light travel advisory on East Timor, which is embroiled in civil upheavals. Businesspeople or tourists were advised to postpone any trips to the country. Since April, an anti-government rebellion has been ongoing in the capital, Dili. Many nations have started evacuating diplomatic personnel. Currently, Australian peacekeepers are present in the nation, helping restore public order, the ministry said in a statement yesterday.
