Taiwan Quick Take: Test registration starts

The online registration for the first-ever Chinese Proficiency Test (CPT) started yesterday and will last till May 28. The date for the computer-based test is June 10, according to the National Taiwan Normal University Chinese Language Testing Center. The CPT is designed for non-native speakers and the results can be used when applying for academic programs at universities or language programs in Taiwan. The test is divided into seven levels and applicants can sign up according to their proficiency levels. More information is available from the center's Web site (cpt.mtc.ntnu.edu.tw/default.asp).
