A survey by the Taoyuan County Government's Bureau of Public Health this week showed that 63 percent of the county's residents are too fat. The survey, conducted during a four-year period among more than 1,300 respondents aged between 19 and 64, showed that more females (67 percent) are predisposed to a higher fat ratio than males (58 percent), with people in the 51-64 age group most vulnerable to higher fat ratios than people in other age groups. About 46 percent of those surveyed were advised to lose weight.
