correction:

Yesterday's front-page story in the Taipei Times entitled "Officials slap suspension on almost all Aussie fruit" contained an error.

The story cited the Chinese-language newspaper China Times as saying that "Queensland fruit flies were discovered in Australian fruit batches."

The story should have instead cited the newspaper as saying that "Queensland fruit flies have been listed as a quarantine pest."

The Taipei Times regrets the error.
