Vice Premier Wu Rong-i (
Wu made the remarks while commenting on the economic situation and strategies when he attended a congress of the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei yesterday morning.
To achieve this goal, he said that government needs to relax regulations and expand government spending.
Wu said that businesses should pressure legislators so that urgent bills could be passed soon. He said world economic growth should reach more than 3 percent this year, compared to 4 percent last year.
The World Bank and the IMF have predicted that Taiwan will see a 4 percent growth rate.
