Joseph Wu visits Washington for Bush inauguration

Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) Chairman Joseph Wu (§d°xÀè) arrived in Washington on Monday to attend tomorrow's inauguration of US President George W. Bush for his second term.
Upon his arrival Wu said he would meet with leading figures from various US quarters during his stay in Washington, including congressional leaders, think tank members and other friends, in addition to taking part in activities to celebrate Bush's inauguration.
He said, however, that he had not yet arranged meetings with any administration officials. Taiwan's delegation is being led by Academia Sinica President Lee Yuan-tseh (§õ»·õ). Other members include Yang Huang Mei-hsin (·¨¶À¬ü©¯), director of the Research and Planning Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
