Norah Jones to play concert in Taipei

Grammy-winning singer Norah Jones will perform in Taipei in March as part of her Asian tour, according to an announcement on Jones' Web site yesterday.

The concert is scheduled to be held at Hsinchuang Stadium in Taipei County on March 14.

According to the Web site, the 2005 Norah Jones Asian Concert Tour will begin in Singapore on Feb. 27. Other concerts will also be held in Thailand, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan.

Taiwan the biggest market for Norah Jones records in Asia, with sales for her debut album, Come Away with Me, topping 130,000 copies. Sales for her second album, Feels Like Home, reached 70,000 copies last month.

Tickets the Taipei show will be on sale from later this month. Prices and other details will be released within a few days.
