Transportation restrictions will be imposed throughout Taiwan today to accommodate the 313 Save Taiwan Rally.

In Taipei, bus route changes will be implemented from noon until 4pm and will mostly affect those traveling on Yatsen Road, Zhongxiao East Road, Jianguo South Road and Renai Road.

In addition, Taipei City Police Department yesterday made last-minute changes to transportation restrictions in response to an expected increase in the number of people using public transport prior to the rally.

Restrictions will be imposed in accordance with the parade route. The parade will begin at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and participants will parade along Yatsen Road, turn left onto Zhongxiao East Road, continue on Jianguo South Road and Renai Road, before concluding at the intersection between Ketagalan Boulevard and Kungyuan Road in front of the Presidential Office.

Cars will be kept off portions of these roads until the end of the parade.

The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system will also increase the number of cars on trains running between 10am and 7pm to accommodate transportation needs.

Supporters of the pan-blue camp in Taichung City and Taichung County will gather at three places at 1:30pm. These are the Taichung Science Museum, the Hsin-chung parking lot and Chungming Elementary School. They will then march to the Lien-Soong campaign headquarters located in Taichung City, where People First Party (PFP) Chairman James Soong (งบทกท์) will address the crowd.

In Kaohsiung City and County, people who join the rally will first gather in nine places at 1:30pm and then march towards the Lien-Soong campaign headquarters.
