Former ICRT DJ told to leave Taiwan by Sunday

Former ICRT disc jockey Charles Mack (巧克力) has been given seven days to leave Taiwan after police said he had sex whilst knowingly carrying a sexual disease.

"By law, we need to deport him," said Tony Tsao (曹晴輝), director of the Taipei police's Foreign Affairs Department.

After being accused by his wife Chang Wei-chin (張瑋津) on Jan. 16 of raping two male college students while being infected with syphilis, Mack appeared at the Sanchangli Police Station on Jan. 19 with a medical report which said that, although he had had the disease, he was now cured. The former DJ also denied the rape allegations and that he had had sex whilst knowingly carrying syphilis.

However, officers from the Foreign Affairs Department interrogated him again on Friday night, after which they ordered Mack to leave the country.

Tsao that according to the Communicable Disease Prevention Law (傳染病防治法) syphilis is listed as a communicable diseases. Mack was confirmed as a syphilis patient but he kept on having sex with other people and spread the disease at the same time, Tsao said.

Police that Mack reported to the city police's Ta-an precinct on Friday night after his wife claimed that he had gone missing.

The 40-year-old entertainer, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, started his career in Taiwan as a dancer. ICRT laid Mack off three years ago after he invited friends to the studio, violating studio rules which say that only staff members are allowed to enter the booths.

Mack his wife started a dance company called "The Chocolate Factory," -- named after his DJ pseudonym "DJ Chocolate" -- in Taipei last June.

The company closed at the end of last year.
