Hwang Sheue-ling (黃雪玲), professor from National Tsinghua University's Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, said bilingual road signs would simply add to drivers' visual difficulties.

Hwang suggested the government save the money budgeted for bilingual road signs and instead use it for improving current signage.
