"Moreover, Tsai brought some unidentified people from certain construction companies to see the cable troughs at construction sites twice," he said.
THSRC officials displayed photocopies of one a letter Tsai sent to BOTHSR on Dec. 19. In the letter, the lawmaker asked very specific questions -- "Are troughs A's the places to install three high-voltage cables that are 6.6kV? If not, please explain how the 6.6kV cables will be installed. Are trough B's the places to install low voltage and communication cables?"
THSRC also showed Tsai's inspection record from a visit he made to a construction site on Jan. 3, in which he asked the corporation not to use FRP pipes (made of fiber glass material).
"Why did Tsai ask this?" Lin asked, noting that Tsai had produced a copy of his inspection record for company officials to sign as soon as his visit was completed -- indicating that the lawmaker had prepared the statement ahead of time.
