According to Lily, she first met Kooan two months ago when he came to her karaoke club in Changhwa.
"Since we get along with each other, we decided to get married," Lily said. "With a blessing from his family, we registered our marriage in Thailand during the Lunar New Year."
Apparently happy with her marriage, she showed reporters holiday pictures taken with her husband.
Cheng Yu-hui (鄭玉輝), nicknamed Shao Cheng, used to work part time at Lily's karaoke club in Hsintien when he was an 18-year-old student. They later became lovers.
Lily's affair with Cheng became a national sensation after their romance was made public in April of 2001.
Lily was forced to shut down her club when it was vandalized by Cheng's family and neighbors, who were angry over their relationship.
When asked to comment on her former romance with Cheng, she said "I believe my affair with him was destiny. I hope that he can also find a good partner."
A soap opera based on the book Lily's Life chronicling the affair was filmed and shown in South Korea last year.
Lily split up with Cheng late last year, after Cheng started his national service.
Lily told reporters that since her separation from Cheng, she has restored her friendship with Cheng's mother.
