Most university professors in Taiwan believe the standard of undergraduates today has slipped from a decade ago and lags behind that of their Chinese peers, according to a survey released yesterday.
More than 60 percent of 313 professors polled in Taiwan between Dec. 2 and Dec. 12 considered the knowledge and ability of today's undergraduates inferior to those of 10 years ago, according to Business Weekly.
Nearly 57 percent of the professors found today's undergraduates were not as serious about their academic studies as their predecessors 10 years ago.
