The convoluted love life of DPP Legislator Cheng Yu-Cheng (鄭余鎮) took another twist yesterday, one day after the errant lawmaker turned up for work.

He claimed that he had broken up with her because he could no longer tolerate her "love violence" and had the scars to prove it.
She showed reporters a document, issued by the Huang Dah-Lun (黃大倫), director of Huang Dah-Lun's Ob & Gyn Clinic (黃大倫婦產科診所), to back-up her claim. According to the document, Wang, 41, is about four weeks pregnant.
She said the doctor also cautioned her that she is at risk for a miscarriage and therefore needs to eat properly and get more rest.

Wang also said that she paid for everything while she and Cheng were abroad, adding that she spent more than US$40,000 on the lawmaker over the past few months.
"I know that he has no money and I never disliked him for that," she said.
She also said she had quarreled with Cheng, 56, the day before he returned to Taipei about whether the two should stay in Los Angeles.
"He slapped me after I bit him during the quarrel," Wang said.
"The next day [Nov. 10], Cheng took US$200 from my purse and immediately fled to the airport while I was taking a bath." she said.
The lawmaker held a press conference yesterday evening, claiming he had been abused by Wang.
He said Wang had become very irritable after they registered their marriage in the US and had also tried to control his actions over the past few weeks. He said Wang had taken control of his passport, money and identification card.
"She was like a director while I was an actor," Cheng said. "If I don't listen to her, she would beat and kick me, or even threaten to commit suicide."
Cheng said that he suffered a minor brain concussion.
However, he promised to take responsibility for Wang's baby if it proves to be his.
The law bars DNA testing on a fetus. Cheng will have to wait until the child is born for a paternity test to be carried out.
Meanwhile, an anonymous employee of Huang's clinic told the Taipei Times in a telephone interview that Wang arrived at the clinic alone yesterday and completed a pregnancy check up around noon.
In a related story, the DPP's Central Advisory Committee is still discussing whether Cheng should be expelled from the party for ignoring his legislative duties. The legislative session began two months ago.
