Chen said the cost of a set of paper utensils is about NT$1.5 and NT$2. He said the cost could be reduced to between NT$1.4 and NT$1.8 if retailers worked with such utensils-washing companies.
Chen said that EPA would discuss the idea of promoting such companies with the Industrial Development Bureau in the near future.
