Both the `pan-blue' camp and the Inter-parliamentary Amity Association are putting together delegations to visit the US in July during the legislature's two-month recess.
The KMT and PFP will send a delegation to the US on July 14 and the Taiwan-US Inter-parliamentary Amity Association, led by the DPP's Trong Chai (
According to Chang, around 35 legislators will take part in the July 21 trip.
The main purpose of the tour is to talk with the Taiwan Caucus, a group consisting of 85 US congressmen who support Taiwan, to promote Taiwan's ambition to join international organizations, Chang said.

Sun, who is also a convener of the Legislative Yuan's Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee, said that the KMT and PFP cooperated well in the last legislative session and will continue cooperating in the Taipei and Kaohsiung mayoral elections and the 2004 presidential election.
According to Sun, the KMT-PFP legislative delegation is scheduled to arrive in San Francisco on July 14 to start its 12-day, five-city US visit. Besides San Francisco, the group will also visit Washington, New York, Houston and Los Angeles.
Legislative Yuan Vice President P. K. Chiang (江丙坤) of the KMT and PFP Secretary-General David Chung (鍾榮吉) will serve as the group's honorary leader and honorary deputy leader, respectively.
KMT Legislator John Chang (章孝嚴) will head the group and KMT Legislator Tseng Yung-chuan (曾永權) and PFP Legislator Hwang Yih-jiau (黃義交) will serve as co-deputy leaders.
