Chinese prostitutes tell hearing that former lawmaker requested Ecstasy

Two Chinese prostitutes testified against former KMT lawmaker Huang Hsien-chou (黃顯洲) in his "sexcapade" case during a private pre-trial hearing on Friday, defense counsel Lee Ming-yu (李明諭) said yesterday.

Judge Huang Kuei-hsing's (黃桂興) first priority in Friday's private hearing was to determine whether Huang was forced to take drugs and whether he engaged in sexual activities with the two prostitutes.

The events in question took place during the former lawmakers' detention in a hotel room by suspects Chan Hui-hua (詹惠華) and Yu Hung-tsan (游洪贊) from Dec. 27 to Dec. 31 last year.

"Hsiao-min" (小敏) and "Hsuan-hsuan" (萱萱), the two Chinese prostitutes who worked for Chan, were listed as witnesses in the case since they were present in the hotel room where Huang Hsien-chou was detained.

The court summoned them for Friday's hearing and decided to keep proceedings private because Hsiao-min is under 18 years of age.

"They told the judge that Huang Hsien-chou asked for Ecstasy pills at the scene," said Lee, Chan's lawyer. "The two girls said that he just touched them with his bare hands and danced with them afterwards. But they didn't have sex."

At the previous pre-trial hearing on May 31, the former lawmaker told the judge that he was fed unknown drugs and he did not have sex with anybody during his detention as he was unconscious. However, he admitted that he did have intercourse with Chan before, under agreement by both parties.

The Taipei District Court released Chan on NT$200,000 bail on Friday night. However, the court ruled that Chan is not allowed to go abroad and has to report to the court immediately whenever summoned.
