Taipei police seized more than 3,000 Ecstasy tablets and detained two suspects in separate arrests early yesterday morning.
Police apprehended a college student surnamed Pan (潘) in Wanhua district and discovered 101 MDMA pills on his person. Pan told police that he was commissioned by a man to deliver the Ecstasy pills at a price of NT$10 each to a man in a pub on Chunghua Road.
After questioning, Pan was charged with violating the control and prevention of drugs and substances law.
Meanwhile, police from Tatung station apprehended a minor surnamed Su (
Su said that he had obtained the pills from a man nicknamed "Hsiao Shih" (小石) and said he was trying to sell them for NT$20 per pill.
