GetSet Centre is a professional education consultancy providing the best-quality service to students who plans to study in the UK. What makes GetSet great and outstanding is that all the services are quality, professional, yet free of charge.
This year, GetSet teamed up with Hello UK!, another UK study consultancy, to launch a one-year full scholarship to students who are interested in studying in Britain. Mark Thomas, the Director of GetSet Center, indicated that this was the first time for the two organizations to work together to offer their members a scholarship. "
The lucky winner this year is Hsieh Hao, who now is in UK for his master's degree. Mr. Hsieh is so glad to get the one-year GetSet/Hello UK scholarship of 7,200 pounds that covers all his tuition for the graduate school program at the Tourism Management Department of the Bournemouth University." Thomas said. He added by saying "With the pleasant experience that we've had this time, we will continue to work together with Hello UK! on other projects and scholarships."
The GetSet/Hello UK Scholarship was open for any course, any universities and any degree program (bachelor, master and PhD). "As long as you wanted to study in the UK and applied through GetSet while being a Hello UK! member then you had a great chance of gaining the scholarship," Thomas explained. Hsieh Hao's name was drawn on August 31, 2004 and he became the lucky winner. The GetSet Centre has been making lots of efforts to assist students in their UK study and to map out more schemes for students' benefits.
"Our mission is to assist students through every step of their application, from the first visit to GetSet through to their departure for the UK. GetSet will also continue to assist students while they are in the UK and support them after they return to Taiwan," Thomas said.
When talking about the future goals, Thomas said "we like to continue our current service now, and would also like to offer a great range of services for the students in the future. At the moment, we are now working on a scheme to help students find their jobs when they come back to Taiwan."
GetSet is now working on improving the employment opportunities of many Taiwanese graduates who have studied in the UK. The job placement scheme has been designed to help people with excellent Chinese and English ability to find jobs with national and multinational companies in the U.K, Taiwan and Mainland China. Whenever the students need help, GetSet will be always here to help them!
