Hesston
Hesston College is a private two-year residential college which provides the first and second years of undergraduate studies. Hesston College is located in the small, quiet town of Hesston (Kansas) which is 50 kilometers north of Wichita (Kansas). Hesston College has dormitory and cafeteria facilities, many programs of study, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) courses for students who need to improve their English skills.
Hesston College is owned by Mennonite Church USA. While the majority of our students come from Mennonite backgrounds, we have students from a wide variety of backgrounds and religions. The Hesston College campus is a smoke-free, alcohol-free, drug-free environment. Our total enrollment is approximately 440 students, including 47 international students from 13 countries. Our American students come from many different areas of the United States. Generally, our new international students have recently completed secondary studies and are in the age range of 17-22 years.
Students study two years at Hesston College, receive the Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree or Associate of Science degree (A.S.) and then transfer to four-year universities and colleges to complete the final two years of undergraduate studies. Hesston College does provide partial financial aid for international students.
The State University of New York
The State University of New York (SUNY) is one of the largest public university systems in the United States. Founded in 1861, SUNY Oswego is part of this system and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and AACSB.
Oswego is a comprehensive college with a strong liberal arts reputation. Career-oriented programs are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels through Oswego's AACSB accredited School of Business and NCATE accredited School of Education, as well as through a variety of programs including chemistry, communications, computer science, graphic arts and psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences.
