Goal by Draper seals Detroit win

Kris Draper's short-handed goal with 6:29 left broke a tie and Tomas Holmstrom had two goals and an assist to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a 5-3 win over the St. Louis Blues on Friday.

Henrik Zetterberg added a goal and three assists and Dan Cleary got the other goal for Detroit.

Nicklas Lidstrom grabbed three assists and Dominik Hasek stopped 24 shots.

Lee Stempniak, Ryan Johnson and Keith Tkachuk scored for St. Louis. Manny Legace had 24 saves.

Draper knocked Lidstrom's pass, which was tipped by Stempniak, out of the air and into the net with 6:29 left to finish off a 2-on-1 break while Cleary was in the penalty box for goaltender interference.

Flames 6, Blue Jackets 2

At Calgary, Alberta, Calgary captain Jarome Iginla scored once and had two assists in his return to the lineup after missing 11 games with a knee injury and the Flames routed Columbus.

Kristian Huselius and defenseman Robyn Regehr also had a goal and two assists for the Flames.

The goal was Regehr's first in 62 games.

Mark Giordano added a goal and an assist and Daymond Langkow and Rhett Warrener also scored as the Flames won their second straight game and sixth consecutive at home.

Rostislav Klesla and Jason Chimera scored for the Blue Jackets, who lost their second straight game.
