BURY THE LEAD

A musher and his dogs compete in the Sedivackuv Long dogsled race near Destne v Orlicky Horach, Czech Republic, on Friday. Severe weather conditions have caused about half of the drivers to abandon the five-day race, which began on Tuesday with about 100 drivers and 700 dogs racing in deep snow in the Orlicke Mountains. Competitors must cover at least 200km and spend one night sleeping out in the snow.Jan 27, 2019
