Young people play soccer in the ruins of the Belisario Penna building, located in the village of Paricatuba, about 35km from Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, crossing the bridge over the Negro River, on Friday. The building, built in 1898, served to host Italian immigrants, but a few years later — in 1906 — it housed the institute Afonso Pena, a shelter for lepers. Currently, only the ruins of the building remain and the place is an attraction for tourists, while for the residents of Paricatuba, it works as a space for soccer and leisure.May 11, 2014
