Facing the heat
Slovenian swimmer Martin Strel wears a cloth mask covering second degree burns on his face as he arrives in Tabatinga on the Brazilian border on Friday. Strel set out to become the first person to swim the length of the 5,430km Amazon River connecting Peru and Brazil on Feb. 1 and was greeted warmly when he crossed into Brazil.
