Jordan Zimmermann pitched eight solid innings and Asdrubal Cabrera hit a home run as the Washington Nationals once again beat Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum in a 6-2 win over San Francisco on Saturday.
Jayson Werth hit a pair of RBI singles for National League East-leading Washington, one night after San Francisco ended their 10-game winning streak.

Zimmermann (9-5) got off to a shaky start when Angel Pagan led off with a double and Hunter Pence followed with a home run. Zimmermann quickly settled in and allowed seven hits overall, striking out eight without a walk.
Lincecum (10-9) was seeking his 100th career win, but turned in the second-shortest start in the majors.
Oakland’s Coco Crisp scored the go-ahead run off a wild pitch from Joe Smith with two outs in the eighth inning as the Athletics beat the Angels 2-1 to move into a share of first-place in the American League West with Los Angeles.
Luke Gregerson (3-2) pitched a perfect eighth, and Sean Doolittle finished for his 20th save.
The Angels lost their fifth straight game this season at the Oakland Coliseum.
At Arlington, Texas, Jeremy Guthrie gave up a home run off his first pitch and not much else, leading the Kansas City Royals past the Rangers 6-3 for their 24th win in 30 games.
Alex Gordon had two hits, including a first-inning homer, and made a diving catch in left field for the AL Central leaders.

Shohei Ohtani’s interpreter is being criminally investigated by the IRS, and the attorney for his alleged bookmaker said Thursday that the ex-Los Angeles Dodgers employee placed bets on international soccer — but not baseball. The IRS confirmed Thursday that interpreter Ippei Mizuhara and Mathew Bowyer, the alleged illegal bookmaker, are under criminal investigation through the agency’s Los Angeles Field Office.
