FLAMES 3, DEVILS 2
In Calgary, Sean Monahan scored with 2:43 left in the third period to lead Calgary over New Jersey.
Monahan scored in his fourth straight game when he took a cross-ice feed from Sven Baertschi and buried it behind Martin Brodeur.
The win extended Calgary’s streak to five games without a regulation-time loss to begin a season.
It is the first time since the Flames moved to Calgary in 1980 that the team has taken at least one point in each of its first five games.
Dennis Wideman and Mark Giordano also scored for Calgary. Jiri Hudler had two assists to extend his points streak to five games.
Adam Henrique and Dainius Zubrus scored for New Jersey. The Devils are 0-1-2 with two stops to go on their five-game road trip.

Boyes’ second goal came during a power play with 34 seconds left to make it 6-3.
STARS 4, JETS 1
In Winnipeg, Tyler Seguin had two goals and two assists to lead Dallas over Winnipeg.
Seguin came into the game with only one assist this season in the two games Dallas had played. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 NHL draft was traded to the Stars by Boston in July.
Alex Chiasson and Jamie Benn also scored for Dallas, which last played at home on Saturday last week. The Jets (2-3-0) are below .500 after Thursday’s 2-1 loss in Minnesota.
Benn had two assists and Chiasson had one.
Blake Wheeler scored his first goal of the season for the Jets in the third period.

Quick stopped Nathan Gerbe, Alexander Semin and Skinner in the shootout to make Carter’s goal hold up as the winner.
Ward, Carolina’s No. 1 netminder, has yet to win a game this season — both of the Hurricanes’ victories have come with backup Anton Khudobin in the net.
COYOTES 2, FLYERS 1
In Philadelphia, Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored the winner with 12.9 seconds left in the second period, while Thomas Greiss made the lead stand up in the third period to lift Phoenix over Philadelphia.

The Coyotes have won two straight games on the road after dropping two straight by a combined 10-2 score.
US track and field athletes have about four dozen pieces to choose from when assembling their uniforms at the Olympics. The one grabbing the most attention is a high-cut leotard that barely covers the bikini line and has triggered debate between those who think it is sexist and others who say they do not need the Internet to make sure they have good uniforms. Among those critical or laughing at the uniforms included Paralympian Femita Ayanbeku, sprinter Britton Wilson and even athletes from other countries such as Britain’s Abigail Irozuru, who wrote on social media: “Was ANY female athlete consulted in

Former US Masters champion Zach Johnson was left embarrassed after a foul-mouthed response to ironic cheers from spectators after a triple bogey at Augusta National on Friday. Johnson, the 2007 Masters winner, missed the cut after his three-over-par round of 75 left him on seven-over 151 for 36 holes, his six on the par-three 12th playing a big role in his downfall. Television footage showed Johnson reacting to sarcastic cheers and applause when he tapped in for the triple bogey by yelling: “Oh fuck off.” Such a response would be considered bad form in any golf tournament, but is particularly out of keeping
