Justin Upton hit his major league-leading 10th home run as the Atlanta Braves downed the Colorado Rockies 4-3 in the first game of a day-night doubleheader in Denver on Tuesday, then hit his 11th homer in a 10-2 win in the second.
In the second game, B.J. Upton homered to left field off Jon Garland to start the fifth inning, his third of the season.

Dan Uggla and rookie Evan Gattis also connected for the Braves in the first game, while Reed Johnson playing right field for Atlanta because Jason Heyward underwent an appendectomy on Monday, went four hits from four at-bats with three doubles. Heyward was put on the 15-day disabled list.
In the American League, Ichiro Suzuki hit a go-ahead two-run single in the ninth inning as the New York Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3.
New York’s Robinson Cano ended AL Cy Young pitching award winner David Price’s night with a leadoff single in the ninth. Tampa Bay are winless in all five of Price’s starts this year. The left-hander (0-2) allowed three runs and eight hits over eight-plus innings.
The only other team to lose the first five starts made by a reigning Cy Young winner were the 1989 Minnesota Twins. They lost in Frank Viola’s first seven starts before finally winning on May 9.
Baltimore’s Manny Machado had two hits and two RBIs as the Orioles used a four-run second inning to beat R.A. Dickey and the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3.
Miguel Gonzalez (2-1) allowed three runs in six innings for the Orioles, who have won nine of 13. By taking the first two games of the three-game set, Baltimore improved to 5-2 in seven series.
Bartolo Colon allowed three hits in Boston as the Oakland Athletics capitalized on eight walks, two balks and two errors to trounce the Red Sox 13-0 in a rain-shortened game.
The A’s broke a scoreless tie with six runs in the third when Seth Smith hit a two-run homer, then added two in the fourth, four in the fifth and one in the sixth to snap a four-game skid.
Oswaldo Arcia hit his first career home run and Kevin Correia gave up two runs in seven innings to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Miami Marlins in the opener of a day-night doubleheader.
In the second game, Rob Brantly had three hits and a career-high four RBIs as Miami rebounded to win 8-5.
In Anaheim, California, Howie Kendrick hit his second home run of the game in the 11th inning and finished with four RBIs, leading the Los Angeles Angels over the Texas Rangers 5-4.
Also, the Houston Astros beat the Seattle Mariners 3-2.
In the National League, Adam Wainwright came within two outs of his second shutout for St Louis as the Cardinals blanked the Washington Nationals 2-0.
Allen Craig and Carlos Beltran drove in runs in the fourth off Ross Detwiler (1-1), who gave up eight hits across six innings.
Chicago’s Carlos Marmol blew a lead in the ninth inning before Darwin Barney bailed him out with a homer in the 10th to lift the Cubs over the Cincinnati Reds 4-2.
Chicago ended their four-game losing streak after squandering a late lead for the second straight day. The Cubs let a two-run lead get away in the 13th inning of a 5-4 loss on Monday night.
The Pittsburgh Pirates completed a 2-0 shutout of the Philadelphia Phillies after Jeff Locke allowed just two hits over six innings and Gaby Sanchez homered off Cole Hamels.
Locke (2-1) struck out six and walked two.
Mark Ellis lined two home runs and hit a hard grounder that sent Mets starter Jonathon Niese limping off for X-rays in the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-2 win over New York.
