World No. 2 Novak Djokovic will arrive in Taiwan today to play an exhibition match with Spaniard Nicolas Almagro, the event’s promoter said yesterday.
The Serb, who finished runner-up at the US Open earlier this month and is making his first visit to Taiwan, will spend two days here, greeting local fans and playing world No. 12 Almagro. Both are known for their mastery of the game — as well as for their temper tantrums.
The duo will hold a press conference shortly after their arrival, after which Almagro will also coach local young talent, according to Kuang Hong Arts, organizer of the event.
The best-of-three exhibition game will take place tomorrow afternoon at the National Taiwan Sport University, the promoter said. Ticket prices, according to the event’s Web site, range between NT$1,800 and NT$8,800.
