Matt Cooke scored two goals to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 6-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL on Saturday.
Dustin Jeffrey scored the go-ahead goal 37 seconds into the third period, while Jordan Staal, Pascal Dupuis and James Neal also had goals for the Penguins, who are now level with Philadelphia for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
Jaromir Jagr scored two goals against his former team, while Eric Wellwood notched his first NHL goal for the Flyers.
Philadelphia lost for the sixth time in eight games.
BLACKHAWKS 6, BLUE JACKETS 1
In Columbus, Ohio, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp both had a goal and two assists as Chicago finished a nine-game trip with a victory over Columbus.
Patrick Kane added a goal and an assist, while Viktor Stalberg also scored.
Stalberg has eight goals in five games against Columbus this season — matching his total against the rest of the NHL in 51 games.
Corey Crawford had 33 saves for the Blackhawks, who have won two straight following a nine-game losing streak. Marcus Kruger and Sami Lepisto added third-period goals for Chicago.
BLUES 4, WILD 0
In St Louis, Missouri, Barret Jackman broke an NHL-high, 150-game scoreless drought, while Brian Elliott made 13 saves to lift the Blues past Minnesota.
The Blues won for the sixth time in seven games and earned their league-best 26th home win.
Jackman scored his first goal since Jan. 7, 2010, to give the Blues a 2-0 lead early in the second period.
Minnesota have lost seven straight. The Wild have scored just nine goals in the past seven games.
LIGHTNING 2, CAPITALS 1
In Tampa, Florida, Steven Stamkos scored his NHL-leading 40th goal of the season as Tampa Bay beat Washington.
Stamkos became the first Lightning player to have three consecutive seasons of at least 40 goals when he scored 1 minute, 50 seconds into the second period.
Tom Pyatt also scored, while Mathieu Garon made 23 saves for the Lightning.
Brooks Laich had the lone goal for the Capitals.
ISLANDERS 4, HURRICANES 3
In Uniondale, New York, John Tavares had two goals and an assist as the Islanders completed a four-game season sweep of Carolina.
Kevin Poulin made 33 saves for the Islanders, who pulled within six points of eighth-place Toronto in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Tavares has 24 goals this season, six against Carolina. Frans Nielsen and Kyle Okposo also scored for the Islanders.
CANUCKS 6, MAPLE LEAFS 2
In Vancouver, Alex Burrows, Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin combined for 10 points in Vancouver’s thrashing of Toronto.
Burrows scored two goals, Daniel Sedin had a goal and three assists, while twin brother Henrik added four assists. The Sedins’ outburst came after both had gone three games without a point.
It was Vancouver’s 10th straight win over Toronto, covering a span of more than eight years.
Manny Malhotra, Sami Salo and Kevin Bieksa also scored for the Canucks, who have won six of seven.
