Pittsburgh’s James Neal scored two power-play goals against the team that traded him nine months ago, leading the Penguins to a 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars in Friday’s clash of the two NHL conference leaders.
Neal netted his 10th and 11th goals of the season and Matt Cooke scored on a penalty shot in the third period.
Eric Nystrom had a goal in his fifth consecutive game for Dallas, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.

In Detroit, Jimmy Howard made 24 saves to help Detroit to victory over Edmonton.
Howard has two shutouts in a week and three this season, tying him for the NHL lead with Nashville’s Pekka Rinne and Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings.
Drew Miller, Niklas Kronwall and Valtteri Filppula scored for the Flyers. Northwest Division-leading Oilers were shut out for the first time this season.
Blackhawks 4, Flames 1
In Chicago, backup goalie Ray Emery made 24 saves, doing his part to help Chicago down Calgary.
Emery, who made his fourth start this season, lost a shutout bid with 9:10 left when Olli Jokinen scored.
Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook — the Blackhawks’ two top defenseman — both scored their first goals of the season, while Viktor Stalberg and Patrick Kane also netted.
Capitals 3, Devils 1
In Newark, New Jersey, Jason Chimera scored a short-handed goal 2:27 into the third period and Marcus Johansson added an insurance tally eight minutes later, leading Washington over New Jersey.
Devils rookie defenseman Adam Larsson scored his first NHL goal in the first period to give New Jersey a 1-0 lead.
Alex Ovechkin tied it for the Capitals with just under three minutes left in the second period.
Sabres 5, Senators 1
In Buffalo, Jhonas Enroth made 36 saves to help Buffalo to a comfortable win over Ottawa.
Derek Roy had a goal and two assists, while Matt Ellis, Jordan Leopold, Luke Adam and Ville Leino also scored for the Sabres, who won their fourth straight.
Sergei Gonchar scored for Ottawa, who dropped to 0-4-1 since a six-game winning streak.
Rangers 5, Hurricanes 1
In New York, Dan Girardi and Brandon Dubinsky scored nine seconds apart midway through the third period and New York went on to rout Carolina for their sixth straight win.
Sean Avery also scored his first goal of the season for the Rangers. Alexei Ponikarovsky scored Carolina’s lone goal at 16:22 of the second, as the Hurricanes suffered their fourth straight defeat.
Ducks 4, Canucks 3
In Anaheim, Anaheim scored four times in the second period and then clung on as Vancouver answered with three in the third.
Saku Koivu opened the scoring before Corey Perry and Andrew Cogliano scored during a five-minute power play in the second period.
Peter Holland added his first NHL goal late in the second period.
Jannik Hansen scored two and Kevin Bieksa added another for the Canucks, who outshot the Ducks 22-2 in the third period.
Four-time NBA all-star DeMarcus Cousins arrived in Taiwan with his family early yesterday to finish his renewed contract with the Taiwan Beer Leopards in the T1 League.
