Closer Brian Wilson recorded his first save of the season after starting the year on the disabled list as San Francisco earned a comeback win in front of their home crowd.
“These games lift you up more than games where you’re coasting 8-0,” Giants starter Tim Lincecum told reporters. “The crowd is different. The emotions are different.”
Lincecum surrendered all three of his allowed runs in the fourth where the Giants fell behind 3-0.
The Giants (5-6) stormed back to take the lead after scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings.
Buster Posey had RBI singles in each inning and finished 3-for-4, while Rowand added an RBI in the fifth. Dodgers pinch-hitter Marcus Thames tied the contest 4-4 with a solo home run in the top of the seventh off reliever Giants Jeremy Affeldt, who was credited with the win.
Los Angeles (6-5) entered the game having won four of five meetings with the defending World Series champions this year.

Revelations of positive doping tests for nearly two dozen Chinese swimmers that went unpunished sparked an intense flurry of accusations and legal threats between the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the head of the US drug-fighting organization, who has long been one of WADA’s fiercest critics. WADA on Saturday said it was turning to legal counsel to address a statement released by US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) CEO Travis Tygart, who said WADA and anti-doping authorities in China swept positive tests “under the carpet by failing to fairly and evenly follow the global rules that apply to everyone else in the world.” The
