Tampa Bay goaltender Dwayne Roloson again kept Washington at bay to give the Lightning a 3-0 win on Wednesday, moving clear of the Capitals atop the NHL’s Southeast Division.
Roloson, acquired in a New Year’s Day trade with the New York Islanders, made 23 saves to add this shutout to the 1-0 overtime win over Washington in his Lightning debut.

In Montreal, Pittsburgh scored four power-play goals to beat Montreal and snap a rare three-game losing skid.
Alex Goligoski scored twice and added an assist for the Penguins.

In Chicago, Corey Crawford made 24 saves for his second straight shutout, helping Chicago blank Colorado.
Dave Bolland and Fernando Pisani had a goal and an assist apiece for Chicago, who won the final regular-season meeting between the teams this season.
Troy Brouwer scored Chicago’s first goal and Jack Skille added a rebound goal in the third to help the Blackhawks win their third straight.

In Anaheim, Bobby Ryan’s hat trick sparked Anaheim’s defeat of St Louis.
Ryan scored twice in the first period and completed his third career hat trick 30 seconds into the third. Ryan later scored his career-best fourth point with an assist on Corey Perry’s score during Anaheim’s four-goal third period.
Lubomir Visnovsky had a power-play goal and two assists while Jonas Hiller made 30 saves for the Ducks, who won three straight to end a six-game homestand that catapulted them back into the Western Conference race.
