The Predators, who entered the contest looking for their ninth win in 10 home games, continued their trend of losing to the Flames (17-6-3) and have now dropped eight of the last ten to their opponents.
Goaltender Pekka Rinne made 25 saves but could not stop the onslaught from the red hot Flames.
After a scoreless first period, Moss gave Calgary the lead 92 seconds into the second on a breakaway. Dawes made it 2-0 three minutes later and the visitors tacked on three more in the final period.
It was the 33rd career shutout for Kiprusoff, coming as the Flames set a franchise record by earning 10 points in 10 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Mike Rupp shook off a leg injury in the third period, snapped a tie with his second goal of the night, and then completed his first NHL hat trick to help the Pittsburgh Penguins down the New York Rangers 5-2.
Rupp’s first goal gave Pittsburgh a 2-1 lead in the second period and his second made it 3-2 with 8:46 remaining. Rupp had left the ice for the dressing room about five and a half minutes earlier after he banged his left leg against the boards after being hit from behind by defenseman Dan Girardi.
Rupp scored into an empty net with 1:40 remaining to give him a career-high eight goals.
Marian Gaborik scored both Rangers goals to push his NHL-leading total to 21.

Erik Johnson and Paul Kariya scored for the Blues.

At Atlanta, Maxim Afinogenov scored with six seconds remaining in the third period to give Atlanta its fourth consecutive victory and send Florida to a fifth straight loss.
Florida Panthers goalie Tomas Vokoun was taken off the ice on a stretcher after he was accidentally hit in the head by the stick of teammate Keith Ballard in the opening period.
Vokoun had a cut ear but was awake and alert when taken to a nearby hospital.
Atlanta’s Ilya Kovalchuk had scored on his own rebound seconds before the incident and Ballard swung his stick in frustration, striking the Czech netminder.
AVALANCHE 3, LIGHTNING 0

Anderson stopped a good scoring chance by Steven Stamkos 24 seconds into the game en route to his third shutout this season and 10th overall.
US track and field athletes have about four dozen pieces to choose from when assembling their uniforms at the Olympics. The one grabbing the most attention is a high-cut leotard that barely covers the bikini line and has triggered debate between those who think it is sexist and others who say they do not need the Internet to make sure they have good uniforms. Among those critical or laughing at the uniforms included Paralympian Femita Ayanbeku, sprinter Britton Wilson and even athletes from other countries such as Britain’s Abigail Irozuru, who wrote on social media: “Was ANY female athlete consulted in

Former US Masters champion Zach Johnson was left embarrassed after a foul-mouthed response to ironic cheers from spectators after a triple bogey at Augusta National on Friday. Johnson, the 2007 Masters winner, missed the cut after his three-over-par round of 75 left him on seven-over 151 for 36 holes, his six on the par-three 12th playing a big role in his downfall. Television footage showed Johnson reacting to sarcastic cheers and applause when he tapped in for the triple bogey by yelling: “Oh fuck off.” Such a response would be considered bad form in any golf tournament, but is particularly out of keeping
