The Argentine also had eight rebounds before resting most of the final period.
Tony Parker added 13 points and seven assists for San Antonio, who improved to 16-7 at home.
Coach Gregg Popovich, who scolded the Spurs for their lack of defense in Philadelphia last week, found efforts more to his liking on Tuesday.
“I was really happy with the overall defense from beginning to the end of the game against a team that is scoring the third-most points in the league,” Popovich told reporters. “I thought we did a wonderful job of it.”
Still, Ginobili said he saw room for improvement.
“I think we’re where we usually are at this point,” he told reporters. “The record is good, but I truly believe we have a long way to go if we want to make it to the championship.”
Like his coach, Ginobili said the Spurs must step up even more on defense.
“Defensively, we’ve really got to improve,” he said. “We’ve got to be more steady. We’re OK for now, but if we want to make it, we’ve got to be great, and we’re still a long way from there.”
Danny Granger scored 17 points and Mike Dunleavy had 15 for the Pacers, who are in last place in the Central Division. They have won only six times in 24 road games.

Kevin Martin led Sacramento with 25 points and rookie Jason Thompson had 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Kings, who fell behind by 30 in the fourth quarter.
The Nuggets trailed by as many as 10 in the second quarter when Kleiza and Smith led the charge back. Kleiza had 11 points and Smith scored nine points during a 19-4 run that gave Denver a 43-38 lead.

The Wolves cut the lead to 97-96 on Randy Foye’s 3-pointer.

Ryan Gomes and Foye each had 19 points for Minnesota.
HAWKS 105, BULLS 102
At Chicago, Mike Bibby scored nine of his season-high 31 points in the final five minutes as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Chicago Bulls 105-102 to complete a three-game season sweep.
Solid throughout the night, Bibby came up big in the end to lift the Hawks to their second win in as many nights.
The Bulls were leading 94-93 after Derrick Rose drove for a layup, but Bibby buried a jumper over Joakim Noah to start a decisive 7-0 spurt that sent the Hawks to their second win in as many nights. Flip Murray then converted a layup on a two-on-one after Chicago’s Luol Deng hit the side of the backboard on a drive, and Bibby finished it with a 3-pointer that made it 100-94 with just under four minutes left.
Zaza Pachulia scored a season-high 18 points for the Kings.
Gordon led Chicago with 21 points, Nocioni added 15 and Deng had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Revelations of positive doping tests for nearly two dozen Chinese swimmers that went unpunished sparked an intense flurry of accusations and legal threats between the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the head of the US drug-fighting organization, who has long been one of WADA’s fiercest critics. WADA on Saturday said it was turning to legal counsel to address a statement released by US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) CEO Travis Tygart, who said WADA and anti-doping authorities in China swept positive tests “under the carpet by failing to fairly and evenly follow the global rules that apply to everyone else in the world.” The
Taiwanese judoka Yang Yung-wei on Saturday won silver in the men’s under-60kg category at the Asian Judo Championships in Hong Kong. Nicknamed the “judo heartthrob” in Taiwan, the Olympic silver-medalist missed out on his first Asian Championships gold when he lost to Japanese judoka Taiki Nakamura in the finals. Yang defeated three opponents on Saturday to reach the final after receiving a bye through the round of 32. He first topped Laotian Soukphaxay Sithisane in the round of 16 with two seoi nage (over-the-shoulder throws), then ousted Indian Vijay Kumar Yadav in the quarter-finals with his signature ude hishigi sankaku gatame (triangular armlock). Rafael Nadal on Wednesday said the upcoming French Open would be the moment to “give everything and die” on the court after his comeback from injury in Barcelona was curtailed by Alex de Minaur. The 22-time Grand Slam title winner, back playing this week after three months on the sidelines, battled well, but eventually crumbled 7-5, 6-1 against the world No. 11 from Australia in the second round. Nadal, 37, who missed virtually all of last season, is hoping to compete at the French Open next month where he is the record 14-time champion. The Spaniard said the clash with De Minaur was
