West Brom dragged themselves off the bottom with a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough. The Baggies third consecutive home win was started by Chris Brunt’s fourth minute strike. Robert Koren made the points safe with a deflected shot nine minutes after the restart and the Slovenia midfielder completed his brace three minutes later after Boro had been reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Didier Digard for a dangerous tackle.

West Brom and Blackburn’s victories meant Tottenham found themselves back in bottom spot ahead of their match with Portsmouth yesterday.
