The San Jose Sharks reached the 30-win mark in just their 40th game of the NHL season with a 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Friday.
Patrick Marleau had two goals and Devin Setoguchi added a goal and two assists for the Sharks, who regained the overall NHL lead from Boston near the halfway point of their campaign.

Sabres goalie Ryan Miller made 43 saves and turned aside three shootout attempts, and Ales Kotalik had the lone goal in the tiebeaker.
Miller ended the game by stopping former Buffalo star Chris Drury’s attempt in the third round of the shootout.
