Yankees’ spending makes sense

The Yankees took a mammoth risk with the new stadium. To field a pitching-deficient team would be unwise. So they paid whatever it took to secure Sabathia, who almost single-handedly got the Brewers to the postseason last year, the team’s first playoff appearance in 26 years.
