New York’s Chris Drury got a hat trick as the Rangers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning for the third time in this NHL season, winning 5-2 on Thursday.
The Lightning got within a goal in the third period, but the Rangers made it 4-2 soon after and Drury capped the scoring with his fifth goal of the season with 27 seconds left.
Tampa Bay lost twice to New York during the season-opening series in the Czech Republic.

In San Jose, California, Ryane Clowe followed up his two tying goals in the third period by scoring the shootout winner as NHL-leading San Jose edged St Louis.
San Jose improved to 8-0 at the Shark Tank with a remarkable rally led by Clowe, who twice answered go-ahead goals by the Blues in the final period, including a goal during 4-on-4 play with 1:39 left.
The Blues lost for the sixth time in seven games despite never trailing in regulation time.
CAPITALS 3, HURRICANES 2
In Washington, Alexander Semin scored twice in the final three minutes, getting the winner with 10 seconds left, to rally Washington over Carolina.
The Capitals trailed 2-1 before Semin scored from close range with 2:43 to go.
Then, with time running out, he fired a wrist shot for the winner from inside the right circle. Semin has 10 goals in 12 games.
Washington is 10-0-1 in its past 11 regular-season home games dating to last season.
BRUINS 5, MAPLE LEAFS 2
In Boston, Blake Wheeler had his first three-goal game in the NHL, leading Boston over Toronto.
The Bruins notched their fifth win in six games while the Maple Leafs have lost three straight.

In Calgary, Alberta, Jarome Iginla had two power-play goals and Craig Conroy also scored twice to help Calgary take a four-goal lead, but the Flames only just hung on to edge Nashville.
The Predators scored a penalty shot with three minutes remaining and cut the deficit to one goal with 20 seconds left.
