Ferguson is frequently asked which is his best team and, not surprisingly, he believes his current lineup could be it.
"The `94 team was the strongest team, mentally, physically, experience-wise," he says. "But when you win a treble [1999 Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup] they've got to be elevated quite rightly beyond that.
"But this team now is without doubt the best squad. I had 26 players here today and everybody deserved to be here. Out of those 26 players there are only a couple not be here in two or three years time. They will all be maturing."
