NHL: Blackhawks edge the Blues to boost their playoff hopes

Patrick Kane scored 1 minute, 9 seconds into overtime after James Wisniewski tied it in the final minute of regulation as the Chicago Blackhawks edged past the St. Louis Blues 4-3 to boost their NHL playoff hopes on Sunday.
Kane was left alone when he tucked a rebound of Niklas Hjalmarsson's shot from the left point.
It was Kane's 18th goal and his fourth against St. Louis this season.
Adam Burish and Dustin Byfuglien also scored for the Blackhawks who are now four points behind Colorado for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot with six games to play.
Lee Stempniak, D.J. King and Keith Tkachuk scored for the Blues, who went 1-1-7 on their season-high nine-game road trip.
Flyers 4, Islanders 1,/B>
In Philadelphia, Martin Biron remained perfect against the New York Islanders this season, stopping 32 shots and helping Philadelphia win their third straight game.
The Flyers snapped a tie with Boston to move into seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Vaclav Prospal, Braydon Coburn and Danny Briere all scored power-play goals for the Flyers.
Scott Hartnell was also on the scoresheet.
Miroslav Satan spoiled the shutout late in the third with his 15th goal of the season.
