Henrique double propels Bordeaux past Strasbourg

Brazilian defender Henrique headed in two goals on Sunday to help second-place Bordeaux beat Strasbourg 3-0 in the French league.
Henrique headed in crosses from Alejandro Alonso in the 28th and 42nd minutes, with goalkeeper Stephane Cassard well beaten.
Argentina striker Fernando Cavenaghi celebrated his recent callup to the national team with a close-range finish for Bordeaux's third goal in the 75th.
Bordeaux goalkeeper Ulrich Rame had to receive brief medical treatment in the first half after collapsing following an elbow to the throat from Strasbourg midfielder Eric Mouloungui. Rame recovered after a few minutes, and Mouloungui got a yellow card.
The win kept Bordeaux six points behind French leader Lyon with nine rounds remaining. Lyon has 61 points, followed by Bordeaux with 55, Nancy with 49 and Marseille with 46.
"The priority was the win," Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc said. "We didn't play well, but let's say we were efficient."
Also on Sunday, striker Djibril Cisse volleyed in a cross from Kanga Akale in the 89th to earn Marseille a 3-3 draw at Lens.
Midfielders Samir Nasri and Benoit Cheyrou scored in the first half to put Marseille ahead 2-0, but Lens rallied to take the lead on goals from Toifilou Maoulida, Abdou Kader Mangane and Loic Remy.
Lens is in 16th place with 34 points.
Nasri hit a clean shot from just inside the penalty area after good work from Andre Ayew and Cheyrou opened up the defense in the 25th. Three minutes later, Cheyrou collected a poor headed clearance from Vitorino Hilton and curled the ball bast goalkeeper Vedran Runje from 20m.
Maoulida followed up Remy's shot to make it 2-1 in the 57th and Mangane leveled from a corner in the 65th. Remy, on loan from Lyon, sent a powerful drive inside the near post in the 73rd.
On Saturday, it was: Monaco 0, Lyon 3; Le Mans 1, Rennes 1; Lille 5, Caen 0; Lorient 1, Auxerre 1; Metz 1, Nice 2; Paris Saint-Germain 1, Valenciennes 1; Saint-Etienne 0, Toulouse 0; and Sochaux 1, Nancy 1.
