Shani Davis broke the track record on Sunday to win his second 1,000m race in two days at a speedskating World Cup.
The American Olympic champion skated 1 minute, 9.65 seconds -- 0.39 seconds slower than his world record. Denny Morrison of Canada was second in 1:09.86, followed by Dutchman Jan Bos in 1:09.94.
The weekend wins almost wrapped up the season title for Davis, who has 690 points with two races left to Morrison's 616.
Germany's Anni Friesinger also repeated her 1,000m win from Saturday, picking up her 54th World Cup victory in 1:16.45. Friesinger was one-and-a-half seconds ahead of Ireen Wust of the Netherlands with 1:17.95, with Canada's Shannon Rempel third with 1:18.41.
The commanding win for the German, who has won the season title, boosted her confidence ahead of the world championships in three weeks in Nagano, Japan.
Jeremy Wotherspoon gained revenge on Japan's Joji Kato, who handed the Canadian his only loss in the 500m in eight races on Saturday. Wotherspoon won the 500m in 35.35, with Japan's Keiichiro Nagashima and Canada's Mike Ireland sharing second in 35.70.
Wotherspoon also regained the lead in the season standings with 780 points to 712 for South Korea's Lee Kang-seok.
Germany's Jenny Wolf, who has already captured the season title, won the women's 500m in 38.51. Annette Gerritsen of the Netherlands was second in 39.13, followed by Svetlana Kaykan of Russia with 39.31.
