West Indies opening batsman Brenton Parchment and South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn were both fined for angry clashes in the third and final Test which ended at Kingsmead on Saturday.
Parchment, making his Test debut, was found guilty of breaching the ICC code of conduct when he intentionally ran into Steyn and was fined 50 percent of his match fee.
The charge was laid by the four on-duty umpires, on-field officials Simon Taufel and Aleem Dar, third umpire Brian Jerling and reserve umpire Zed Ndamane on Friday.
Parchment was eventually lbw to Steyn for 20 in his second innings.
Steyn, who took six wickets in the second innings as his team wrapped up the series 2-1 thanks to an innings and 100-run win, was also lighter in the pocket after being docked 10 per cent of his match fee.
Steyn was found guilty of showing disrespect to West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels through his physical and verbal actions.
