NBA: Golden State Warriors beat Spurs

Stephen Jackson scored 12 of his 29 points in overtime, and Baron Davis had 34 points and 14 assists in yet another remarkable late-game performance during the Golden State Warriors' 130-121 victory over San Antonio on Monday.

Davis scored 12 points in the fourth quarter with a stunning series of baskets and passes, but the defending champion Spurs erased a six-point deficit in the final 47 seconds. Tony Parker forced overtime on a 3-pointer with 6.3 seconds left in San Antonio's second loss at Golden State in four weeks.

Jackson, who won a title with the Spurs in 2003, hit two 3-pointers and two free throws in a 56-second span of overtime, and Davis added a pullback jumper with 43 seconds to play as the Warriors won the season series with the Spurs for the first time since 1996-97. Golden State also avoided its first three-game losing streak since beginning the season 0-6.

Tim Duncan, who didn't play in the Spurs' previous trip to Oakland on Dec. 11, had 32 points and 13 rebounds, while Parker finished with 31 points and eight assists. The Warriors' tenacity prevented Spurs coach Gregg Popovich from getting his 600th career victory.

Suns 137, Nuggets 115

At Phoenix, Shawn Marion scored a season-high 27 points, had six blocked shots, and hit five of Phoenix's 20 3-pointers to lead the Suns' romp of the Nuggets in a matchup of division leaders.

Marcus Banks made a career-high seven 3s en route to a season-best 23 points. The 20 3-pointers matched a franchise record and were one shy of the NBA record set by Toronto in March 2005.

Marion made 11-of-15 shots and grabbed 14 rebounds before leaving with 4:23 to play. All five of his 3s came in the first half. Grant Hill added 20 points, and Amare Stoudemire had 20 points and 10 rebounds as six Suns reached double figures.

Allen Iverson scored 32 for the Nuggets, 17 in the first quarter when his team fell behind 46-34. Carmelo Anthony added 20 points.
